Role Description
The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for driving growth of SpinLife's B2B business through the development of strategic partnerships, referral relationships, and commercial accounts across five target market segments: Healthcare, Education, Nonprofit, Government, Business/Corporate.
This role is focused on identifying, developing, and expanding revenue opportunities that connect organizations with mobility, accessibility, adaptive living, and independent living solutions. The Strategic Account Manager serves as a consultative business development leader, building long-term relationships that generate sustainable revenue growth and position SpinLife as a trusted partner within the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and mobility industry.
The Strategic Account Manager will develop go-to-market strategies, create strategic partnerships, uncover unmet customer needs, and drive growth through proactive outreach, account management, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic growth plans across Healthcare, Education, Nonprofit, Government, and Business market segments.

Build a qualified pipeline of opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, conferences, events, and industry engagement.

Identify new partnership opportunities that increase awareness, referrals, and revenue for SpinLife.

Meet or exceed revenue, account acquisition, retention, and pipeline development goals.

Develop territory and account plans to prioritize high-value opportunities.

Establish relationships with hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, health systems, outpatient therapy providers, physician groups, senior living communities, and care coordinators.

Position SpinLife as a trusted mobility and accessibility resource for patients transitioning to home environments.

Identify opportunities to support discharge planning, fall prevention, aging-in-place initiatives, and caregiver solutions.

Develop referral partnerships that drive recurring revenue and customer acquisition.

Build partnerships with K-12 school districts, special education programs, colleges, universities, and adaptive recreation organizations.

Identify opportunities for adaptive mobility, accessibility, and independence solutions for students and educational professionals.

Collaborate with educators, therapists, and administrators to understand needs and develop tailored solutions.

Expand awareness of SpinKids and adaptive product offerings within education channels.

Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with key decision makers and influencers.

Conduct business reviews with strategic partners to identify opportunities for growth and improved customer outcomes.

Act as the primary point of contact for large accounts while ensuring a seamless customer experience.

Collaborate with internal sales, service, marketing, merchandising, and operations teams to support account growth.

Monitor market trends, competitive activity, reimbursement changes, and industry developments.

Provide leadership with insights on emerging partnership opportunities, customer needs, and market dynamics.

Recommend new programs, products, and initiatives that support B2B growth strategies.

Assist with trade shows, conferences, industry events, and community engagement efforts.

Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity pipelines, forecasts, and activity reporting.

Track performance against sales, partnership, and revenue goals.

Provide monthly business reviews highlighting wins, challenges, opportunities, and recommended actions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Education, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of business development, strategic sales, account management, partnership development, or consultative selling experience.

Demonstrated success developing new business opportunities and expanding strategic partnerships.

Strong presentation, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to influence decision makers at multiple organizational levels.

Experience using CRM platforms, sales pipeline management tools, and account planning systems to manage opportunities, forecasts, and business development activities.

Experience building target account lists and executing account-based sales strategies.

Ability to travel (approx. 20%) as required for customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
Preferred Competencies and Qualifications

Experience within Durable Medical Equipment (DME), healthcare, rehabilitation, mobility, accessibility, adaptive products, or related industries.

Established relationships within healthcare systems, educational organizations, government agencies, or nonprofit networks.

Experience navigating complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.

Knowledge of funding sources, procurement processes, grants, reimbursement, or public purchasing environments.

Experience working with referral-based sales models and partnership ecosystems.

Demonstrated experience leveraging Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Definitive Healthcare, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar platforms to identify prospects, map organizations, develop pipelines, and drive strategic account growth.
