Role Description
This position of Southeast Regional Sales Manager Industrial Specialties reports to the Industrial Specialty VP of Sales, based in the territory, which consists of Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. You will be accountable for sales, customer forecast, contract management, inventory management, and selling of Specialty cable technology, delivering results tied to contribution margin goals. You will manage approximately $75 million in sales, requiring extensive face-to-face contact with existing Customers, Channel Partners, Agents, and Prospects within the geographic region. Key responsibilities include:

Ensure sustained sales and profit growth within the Business Unit.

Manage sales representatives in the Region, assigning sales targets, reporting on results, joint sales calls, and training of key sales partners.

Develop new customers and nurture existing ones to maximize service levels and growth opportunities.

Provide pertinent information to the Product Management team to assist in the identification and development of new product and market opportunities.

Provide weekly reports updating customer activity, market analysis, and competitor information.

Resolve customer complaints and take appropriate actions to ensure customer retention.

Manage direct accounts while working with existing network of representatives and distributor partners.

Meet or exceed all established goals and personal objectives.

Coordinate and attend trade shows and annual regional sales meetings as needed.

Train and assist customers, consultants, and sales partners.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Analyze customer and prospect activity and respond as required to meet sales and profitability plans.

Develop and deliver oral and written presentations to customers and prospects.

Coordinate resolution of customer issues with appropriate internal resources (sales administration, product management, manufacturing, engineering, credit, etc.).

Generate and communicate market intelligence to management.

Communicate new pricing, product, and related industry information to customers and prospects in a timely manner.

Promote and facilitate product training and plant tours with customers and prospects.

Assist product managers with pricing decisions, product introduction, inventory decisions, and major product group forecasting.

Communicate overall customer needs and concerns to management.

Requirements
-
BA in related field with 5-7 years experience in technical sales to the Electrical Industry.

Electrical contractor background considered as well.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills together with reasoning, mathematical, and computer skills required.

General home/office environment 40%: Travel β position requires travel estimated 60%.
Work Environment/Physical Demands

Works out of a normal home office environment with standard office equipment available.

Extended periods of sitting or standing at a desk or workstation, or at tradeshows when required.
