Role Description

As a Senior Sales Solution Consultant – Sales Engineering Group, you’ll utilize your in-depth product and market knowledge to help sales staff uncover requirements, recommend and demonstrate the FIS Aligne Energy Trading, Risk, and Logistics Platform (ETRLP). Your unique expertise will help us advance the way the world pays, banks and invests, while you advance your own career with a growing, global organization.

This is an advanced professional role with broad understanding of energy trading, risk management, and market operations including risk as well as gas and pipe operations. Requirements include expertise of:

  • Physical and financial trading in Power, Natural Gas, LNG, as well as Pipe Operations.
  • Energy Trading Back Office operations.
  • Advanced Analytics including performing VaR and PFE calculations.

You will be required to perform risk calculations and reporting as well as demonstrate the lifecycle of a trade in the Aligne ETRLP solution in front of veteran traders and Risk Officers. You will need to exercise judgment in decision making, determining approach, methods and procedures to use on new assignments. You will need to utilize advanced knowledge of all products within a specific business unit and their relationship to other business unit solutions to assist sales team in addressing unique client/prospect requirements. May coordinate and guide the work of others to ensure success. Typically requires a minimum of five years business experience with specific solutions, products and marketplace.

  • Develop appropriate product solutions to meet client/prospect business requirements, mainly as Proof Of Concept solutions.
  • Present and demonstrate the FIS Aligne Platform, either standalone or in conjunction with other FIS Solution offerings.
  • Drive solutioning process on behalf of sales executives to obtain client/prospect requirements.
  • Complete RFPs (Request for Proposal) and RFIs (Request for Information) against tight deadlines.
  • Participate in business requirement review sessions with clients/prospects, document the requested scope, and provide effort estimates.
  • Create proposal documents, outlining project scope and requirements.
  • Configure the presentation environment to the client’s requirements and deliver product presentations/demonstrations.
  • Create and maintain product presentations and application environments.
  • Participate in product release process and liaise with development to maintain presales presentation environments.
  • Provide feedback on client/prospect requirements to FIS product managers on an ongoing basis.
  • Interact with vendors and other organizations to implement integration with third-party vendor solutions.
  • Liaise with platform architects and technical teams to improve the presentation environment.

Qualifications

  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of Energy trading (Trade entry/scheduling/nominations) as well as operations experience.
  • Deep understanding and ability to calculate VaR (Historic, Monte Carlo, custom) as well as PFE.
  • At least 5+ years of experience with the FIS Aligne Platform (As a user, In Sales, or Professional Services).
  • Works well in an independent, as well as team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with and provide appropriate communications to senior management as well as veteran energy traders.
  • Be based anywhere in the United States of America/Canada – Preferably based in Texas.
