Role Description
The Senior Director, National Payer Accounts is responsible for driving profitable patient access with the national payer organizations and their largest downstream regional account clients. This role supports the strategy of the Market Access team with the creation and execution of resources for the payer audience and patient services hub.

Collaborate with leaders in market access, therapeutic areas, insight, access strategy, finance, and medical affairs to align approaches to our largest customers.

Engage with key payer customers to develop relationships, secure medical and pharmacy policies that maximize patient access.

Ensure that the clinical and financial value of our products are fully understood.

Implement strategies that maximize access and profit within each account.

Coordinate and lead our approach at each of their respective National Payer Accounts and specialty pharmacies.

Manage the budget and ensure alignment with strategic and financial objectives of the overall business.

Collaborate closely with Therapeutic Areas, Market Access, Medical, Corporate Affairs, and all internal stakeholders to maximize the value of our portfolio.
Qualifications

Bachelorโs Degree in Sciences, Marketing, or Business.

10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry.

5+ years work experience within various areas of market access.

Thorough understanding of market dynamics across multiple therapeutic areas (oncology/hematology preferred).

Demonstrated success in account management (national account experience with UHC, Optum, and Emisar preferred).

History of performance in achieving business objectives.

Ability to form and sustain relationships across a customer organization.

Ability to facilitate, integrate, and deliver multiple corporate resources to customers.

Contracting/negotiations expertise/training.

Excellent collaboration, presentation, and communication skills (both written and oral) required.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Team player and self-starter with a constructive attitude.

Must have a โroll-up their sleevesโ work style understanding both tactical and strategic work are requirements.

Ability to travel up to 50%.

Base Salary Range of $240,000-$280,000.
