[Hiring] Senior Client Engagement Consultant @Akg

Role Description

Drive and exceed sales revenue targets for apprenticeships, advanced learner loans and commercial funding by building strong, long-term relationships with large levy-paying employers and relevant SMEs. Through a consultative approach, work collaboratively with internal teams to design and deliver tailored training solutions that meet client needs and support ongoing growth. The role holder will develop new business, alongside managing accounts to encourage repeat business, contribute to service excellence, support team performance, and work closely with Operations to resolve any issues, while promoting a passion for people development and delivering meaningful, value-driven outcomes beyond apprenticeships/qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

• New Business Development:
  • Identify procurement opportunities aligned to our sectors and strategic priorities.
  • Work collaboratively with the central growth/bids team.
  • Develop new client relationships and new business through various sales channels.
  • Identify potential partnerships for new business opportunities.
  • Maximise networks for subcontracting opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing for integrated campaigns.
  • Attend conferences and career fairs to generate new business.
• Apprenticeships: Levy and Non-levy:
  • Meet or exceed new business sales targets.
  • Develop long-term relationships with larger levy paying employers.
  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA).
  • Produce engaging business proposals and presentations.
  • Work with clients to develop programmes and plan cohorts.
  • Ensure smooth Levy transfer process with employers.
• Commercial and Advanced Learner Loans:
  • Explore commercial training opportunities.
  • Promote LPU’s ESOL for Work programmes.
  • Develop branded marketing resources with the marketing team.
• Account Management:
  • Proactively manage accounts to maintain high satisfaction levels.
  • Review progress towards objectives at agreed intervals.
  • Hold account management meetings with clients.
  • Encourage clients to celebrate success internally and externally.
• Quality and Compliance:
  • Ensure clients understand their commitments through effective guidance.
  • Maintain high conversion rates and low levels of early leavers.
  • Ensure compliance with funding rules and data entry requirements.
  • Support the Learner Engagement team with Training Plans.

Qualifications

• Experience of developing high-level external partnerships and relationships.
• Consultative sales experience ideally in the skills and apprenticeship sector.
• Experience in completing organisational TNAs with clients.
• Proven track record of positive outcomes from business proposals.
• Effective account management experience.
• Highly effective communication skills.
• Proficient Microsoft Office user.
• English and maths as a minimum GCSE grade C or equivalent.
