Role Description

The Sales Support Specialist role would take on a variety of responsibilities to allow our sales team(s) to more closely connect with key decision makers. Sales Support Specialists maintain day-to-day contact with both the retailer staff and supplier partner staff. They will often be the first point of contact in receiving questions about new and existing products along with inquiries into retailer specific systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter/Maintain information across Client and Customer proprietary systems.
• Respond to questions from new and existing clients, customers, and other personnel regarding error corrections, items and inventory, meetings, promotional requests, and other related questions.
• Provide support on various projects and related tasks.
• Assume responsibilities for other Sales Administrators within the department when unavailable.
• Create, enter and update purchasing related information (e.g. accounting deals, product returns, POs, item set-up, display set-up) using various systems/tools.
• Review and research information contained in information provided by the Sales team (e.g. overlapping accounting agreements, discontinued products, cost changes, customer complaints) to correct any errors and make recommendations on corrections needed.
• Maintain processes on new item submissions, website listing maintenance, spreadsheets, pricing/UPC changes, client and retailer information.
• Train new Sales Support Specialists on job functions, as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and at least 2 years experience in a retail sales environment.
• College Degree or 3+ years in a retail sales environment (preferred).
• Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
• Experience with MS Office & Teams.
• Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Compensation

The expected base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based bonuses and other compensation programs.
