Role Description

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Global Sales, the Sales Manager – Midstream/Upstream Gas Distribution focuses on sales areas concentrated on the transportation, storage, and wholesale marketing of natural gas and natural gas liquids (NGLs) between production fields (upstream) and processing plants or end-users (downstream).
Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Actively promote and sell products offered by the organization

Solicit new business and generate and qualify new leads

Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, expanding market share for gathering, processing, and transportation services

Develop and maintain existing customer relationships, manage a portfolio of clients (e.g., producers, distributors, industrial users), acting as the primary point of contact for contracts and negotiations

Develop, negotiate, and execute long-term contracts, capacity agreements, and sales contracts

Travel, source, and develop customer referrals

Develop and make presentations of company products and services to current and potential customers

Combine technical sales skills/knowledge demonstrating value-add solutions vs competitive offerings

Market gathering systems, compression services, and terminal storage to producers and end-users, monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to adjust sales strategies

Coordinate with operations ensuring effective scheduling of products/resolve customer supply issues

Participate in trade shows both national and international

Requirement for up to 35%+ travel visiting customer(s)/locations in NA and internationally as required

Manage and train Distributors and/or Resellers in the region, if applicable

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, or related field with business aptitude preferred

Minimum 5-10 years of technical sales in selling mechanical or electronic equipment – preferably related to utility, natural gas, petro chemical, pipeline or instrumentation market segments

Experience selling equipment related to mechanical or electronics, selling and sourcing specialized equipment such as pressure monitoring devices, pipes, valves, fittings, filtration systems, and gas dehydration units

Preferred 3–10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, specifically within the oil and gas midstream sector

Experience/exposure to a manufacturing environment is considered an asset
Requirements

Diploma/Degree in either Mechanical or Electronics Engineering with business aptitude and strong communication skills preferred

Minimum 5-10 years of technical sales in selling mechanical or electronic equipment – preferably related to utility, natural gas, petro chemical, pipeline or instrumentation market segments

Experience/exposure to a manufacturing environment
