[Hiring] Sales Manager @PROMAT INC

Role Description

The mission of the role is to provide strategic direction, commercial leadership, and business development expertise for Promat's Thermal Insulation - Industrial segment throughout North America. This role is accountable for driving profitable growth through market expansion, customer engagement, strategic account development, channel optimization, and the successful execution of segment-specific growth strategies.

As the subject matter expert and commercial leader for the TTI segment, the incumbent will:

• Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities.
• Strengthen Promat's competitive position.
• Cultivate high-value relationships with key customers, industry influencers, engineering firms, contractors, distributors, and end users.
• Leverage market intelligence, customer insights, and technical knowledge to develop targeted business plans.
• Support product positioning initiatives and deliver solutions that address complex customer challenges across industrial applications.

This highly visible role requires strong collaboration across sales, marketing, product management, engineering, operations, and executive leadership teams to ensure alignment between customer needs, market opportunities, and organizational objectives. The successful candidate will champion innovation, drive customer-centric growth strategies, and contribute directly to the achievement of revenue, profitability, and market share objectives while reinforcing Promat's reputation as a trusted industry leader and solutions partner.

This role demands a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset, exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to translate market opportunities into sustainable business growth and long-term customer value.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of High Temperature Industry technical sales experience in a high-performance manufacturing or processing environment. Background in refractory sales strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing methods, thermal insulation, and heat transfer principles.
• Proficiency in Salesforce.com or similar CRM platforms.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated initiative and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
• Ability to acquire detailed knowledge of all products in the assigned product lines, their applications and the knowledge of competitive products and their pricing, including knowledge of industrial and commercial product engineering standards and practices.
• Participate and represent Promat at national and local trade shows and industry seminars.
