Role Description
SpecSync, a Vantora (formerly UP.Labs) portfolio company, is hiring a Sales Development Representative. SpecSync is building an AI-native configure-price-quote (CPQ) platform for trailer and heavy-equipment manufacturers.
As one of the first members of the sales team, you'll own top-of-funnel pipeline generation, opening doors with OEMs, dealers, and fleet operators across the manufacturing space. You'll work directly with our Head of Sales and CEO, learn a consultative enterprise sales motion from the ground up, and have a clear path to grow into a closing role as the team scales.
In This Role, You Will:
-
Generate qualified pipeline through high-volume outbound across phone, email, and LinkedIn, targeting trailer, heavy-equipment, and industrial manufacturers.
-
Research target accounts and personas (sales leaders, engineering, operations, and finance) to craft relevant, personalized outreach.
-
Run discovery conversations to understand prospects' quoting and configuration pain points, then book qualified meetings for the Head of Sales.
-
Work within a fully AI-native sales stack, using AI dialers, automated sequences, and AI-powered CRM tools so you can spend your time selling, not doing data entry.
-
Review your own calls using AI tools to sharpen messaging, objection handling, and conversion.
-
Partner with sales leadership to test and refine messaging, sequences, and target segments.
-
Maintain clean, accurate pipeline data and consistently hit activity and meeting targets.
-
Share market feedback from prospects with the product and leadership teams.
Qualifications
-
Hungry, competitive, and motivated by results, with the resilience to keep going through rejection.
-
Smart and curious, able to quickly understand a technical product and a consultative sales process, even if you won't be the one closing the deal (yet).
-
A clear, confident communicator on the phone and in writing.
-
AI-native: comfortable using tools like Claude or ChatGPT in your daily workflow and excited to work in a highly automated environment.
-
Coachable and committed. You see this role as the foundation of your sales career and want to master it before moving up.
-
Comfortable in the pace and ambiguity of an early-stage startup.
Requirements
-
1+ years of experience in an SDR, BDR, inside sales, or other outbound/customer-facing role (strong early-career candidates with the right drive will be considered).
-
A track record of hitting or exceeding activity and pipeline goals.
-
Familiarity with sales engagement tools and CRMs.
-
Experience selling into manufacturing, industrial, or equipment companies is a strong plus.
-
Experience selling B2B software is a plus.
-
Located within reasonable travel distance of the Northeast (New England or the Tri-State area) preferred, for periodic in-person time with the team.
Benefits
-
Get in early at a venture-backed startup redefining how complex equipment is sold.
-
Work with a modern, AI-native sales stack that removes the manual grind from the SDR role.
-
Learn directly from experienced sales leadership, with a clear path to an Account Executive role for top performers.
-
Aggressive, upside-heavy compensation for people who want to be rewarded for their effort.
-
Work with top enterprises, operators, and investors through the Vantora model.
