Role Description
The Sales Account Specialist serves as a strategic business partner to the Sales team, supporting assigned retail accounts through:

Customer relationship management
This role works closely with Account Managers, retailers, vendors, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure successful execution of sales initiatives, accurate forecasting, and on-time delivery of customer requirements. The Sales Account Specialist proactively identifies opportunities to improve sales performance, resolves customer issues, monitors key business metrics, and manages projects that support growth and operational excellence.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Strong working knowledge of Walmart and Sam's Club systems, including Retail Link, Item 360, and Scintilla

5+ years of experience in sales operations, account support, retail planning, forecasting, customer management, or a related role

Experience working with major retail accounts and consumer products

Strong forecasting, analytical, and business planning skills

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, lookups, and forecasting models

Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics GP, and retailer portals

Excellent project management and organizational skills

Strong customer service and relationship management abilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work independently and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
Requirements

Track customer purchase orders, Proof of Delivery (POD), promotional compliance, and order status
-
Monitor customer deductions and assist with issue resolution
-
Improve sales processes and identify operational efficiencies
-
Maintain forecasting tools, sales reports, and customer databases

Ensure data integrity across ERP and customer systems
-
Train and mentor Sales Administrators and new team members
-
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the Sales organization

Exercise independent judgment in resolving customer, vendor, and operational issues

Lead cross-functional projects supporting sales growth and customer satisfaction
