Role Description
We are looking for an Inside Sales Account Manager to join our Intermediates team. This position is a field position covering a variety of chemical markets such as Water Treatment, CASE, and personal care. Travel for this role is estimated to be 40-60%. The preferred candidate will live in the Houston area or within one hour of a major airport in the Eastern or Central Time Zone.
As a Sales Account Manager, you create chemistry by:

Developing and managing lead generation and collaborating with Product Managers, Business Development while closing new business opportunities.

Identifying new customers and valuable market intelligence in North America to support organic growth.

Creating a winning value proposition for all stakeholders while building lasting customer relationships to identify business opportunities and trends.

Participating as a Sales and customer management professional, including Salesforce collaboration, call reports, reporting of key intelligence data, contract management & negotiations, price, and margin management of customer portfolio.
Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or Business.

8+ years Sales and customer experience.

Commodity experience (preferred).

Excellent planning, organizing and work management skills to effectively prioritize customer needs and BASF needs.

Experience and success being a self-starter.

Effective and persuasive communication and presentation skills that sell benefits and create value.

Strong customer focus combined with an entrepreneurial approach that creates a winning value proposition for all stakeholders.

The willingness to learn and apply sales techniques.

Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Share Point. CRM and Salesforce experience (preferred).
