Role Description
The primary responsibility of the Retirement Plan Sales Consultant (RPSC) is to support our PEO clients by presenting to their prospective adoptersβ education around their MEP or PEP 401(k) option. The RPSC also consults with these employers on their 401(k) plan design options. This role requires knowledge of 401(k) rules and regulations, plan documents, and plan designs.
Essential Functions

Provide plan design strategies for worksite employers regarding plan specifications, including eligibility and entry requirements, vesting schedules, and employer contributions and assist them in completing the required documentation.

Maintain relationships with Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs) and their respective 401(k) teams that refer the leads.

Provide initial 401(k) education to worksites and their respective employees.

Introduce and review enrollment materials, such as required notices and disclosures, with participants.

Act as the subject matter expert on topics including, but not limited to, compliance, employer-level questions, plan design, plan enrollment, and plan changes.

Tailor plan proposals and plan designs to benefit the needs of the employer and the participants by highlighting cost savings, tax benefits, and explaining investment funds and fees.

Demonstrate proficiency using Salesforce.com and Microsoft Outlook to stay connected with clients, streamline processes, and organize data.

Work with internal departments after the completion of the enrollment process to ensure proper plan set up within the organization.

Gain client approval on plan documents and plan specifications, upload approved documents to Salesforce.com, and assign plan set up to an internal New Plans representative.

Maintain ongoing channels of communication with New Plans representatives throughout the plan set up process to ensure plan compliance.

Remain diligent and proactive by periodically updating clients on the status of the plan set up process.
Qualifications

3-5 years of client-facing experience in financial services industry required.

3 years of 401k industry experience required.

2 years of Salesforce.com or similar CRM experience required.

Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office.

For all virtual remote positions, in order to ensure associates can effectively perform their job duties with no distractions, we require an uninterrupted virtual workspace.

Additionally, there is an internet work speed requirement of 100 MBps or better.

Travel to onsite enrollment meetings, as needed.

Base salary range of $65,000-75,000.

This position is also eligible for Plan Sales commissions.
