Role Description
The Regional Sales Manager (Southern Europe) is responsible for achieving revenue and margin targets through direct sales and channel partners in the focus countries Portugal, Italy, Greece, and Malta. In support of corporate strategic goals, the Regional Sales Manager will develop and implement an annual regional sales plan and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Build relationships with existing and new customers by understanding their businesses and proactively providing solutions.

Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.

Lead Badger Meter's sales effort within defined target markets to achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives.

Assess and develop Key Accounts and channel partners.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.

Increase brand awareness by improving communication with end users and channel partners.

Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

Work with the team to achieve individual and team sales targets.

Identify new business opportunities and market trends to capitalize on growth opportunities.

Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and other departments.

Analyze sales data and metrics to track performance and make data-driven decisions.

Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices in sales and sales leadership.

Assist in the planning and execution of trade fairs and events.

Conduct consultative conversations with clients regarding quality management and late payments.

Conduct technical and commercial negotiations.

Handle customer complaints together with the support team.
Qualifications

Bachelor Degree required, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechatronics, Automation Technology, Environmental Engineering, or related fields.

10 years or more of professional experience in a similar role.

Fluent in English.

Preferably experience and detailed knowledge in Municipal Water, Flow Instrumentation, and/or Water Quality Instrumentation.

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM software.

Self-motivated, tenacious individual with excellent communication skills.

Ability to engage, motivate, and train customers and distributors.

Progressive, driven, networker with strategic thinking.

Project Management skills.

Travel required 50%.

Salary: Minimum full-time gross salary is β¬5477 with the possibility of additional overpayment based on experience and qualifications.
