[Hiring] Regional Sales Manager @Relais & Châteaux

Role Description

The regional sales manager works as part of the Global Sales team reporting to the Global Director of Sales. The key objective of this role is to promote the Relais & Châteaux brand and our hotel member hotels to the travel trade in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Scandinavia, and ensure that the member hotels receive maximum benefit from the global sales effort from the designated markets.

The regional sales manager works remotely, ideally in the London metropolitan area of the United Kingdom.

• Grow revenue and maximize market share from the travel community for Relais & Châteaux through sales activities and direct sales efforts.
• Identify travel agency and MICE accounts with significant revenue potential for Relais & Châteaux hotels found in assigned geographic area and soliciting those accounts to increase revenues for the company to meet overall account revenue goals of the Relais & Châteaux booking channels.
• Assist VIP agencies with confirming Relais & Châteaux member hotels through R&C central reservations/SynXis.
• Represent Relais & Châteaux at various events, including sales blitzes, PR events, conferences, and FAM trips to increase brand awareness and revenue.
• Aid in organization of sales blitzes, sales events and showcases.
• Escort member hotels on sales calls when sales blitzes are organized.
• Create annual account action/marketing plans to detail strategy and tactics to increase sales from assigned market.
• Build effective working relationships with the Relais & Châteaux member hotels and restaurants, and Relais & Châteaux management through verbal and written means.
• Collaborate with the other members of the global sales team to create a successful and cohesive sales organization.
• Geographical area would include the United Kingdom (primary responsibility) along with Ireland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Luxury hospitality industry preferred
• Experience in working with key luxury hotel consortia and programs such as Virtuoso, Serandipians and American Express
• University degree or equivalent
• Excellent leadership and people skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivator with the ability to work independently and as a collaborator
• Ability to grasp new concepts
• Clear thinker with attention to detail
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in luxury sales
• Familiarity with SynXis and working with a CRM is a plus
