Role Description

CPI has an immediate opening for a Regional Sales Manager – Northern California. Candidates based in or near the Sacramento region are preferred to support effective territory coverage and customer engagement.

This is a market-facing sales role responsible for driving territory growth, strengthening customer preference, and expanding CPI’s market position throughout Northern California. The Regional Sales Manager develops business through direct engagement with:

• end users
• contractors
• consultants
• distributors
• strategic partners

Successful candidates operate with a territory ownership and employee-ownership mindset and combine strategic thinking, strong communication skills, consultative selling capabilities, and disciplined execution to generate measurable business results. This role requires:

• Proactive business development
• Structured territory planning
• The ability to influence projects early in the decision-making process

This position carries a salary range of $120,000 – $135,000 annually plus quarterly sales incentive, profit sharing, and more. Compensation is based on candidate experience, qualifications, market conditions, and overall business considerations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Technical, or related field preferred
• Minimum of 8 years of outside sales experience in ICT infrastructure, networking, cloud, data center, or related technology environments
• Proven track record of territory growth, pipeline development, and consultative sales success
• Strong understanding of:
• enterprise and data center infrastructure
• structured cabling systems
• hyperscale and colocation environments
• edge computing and IT/OT convergence
• Experience developing business through:
• end users
• contractors
• consultants
• distributors
• Ability to analyze territory performance, pipeline trends, and customer activity to identify growth opportunities
• Strong working knowledge of Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory
