[Hiring] Outside Sales Representative @MMC

Role Description

We are working with a growing distributor in the broadband and telecommunications industry seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to expand its customer base and drive new revenue across Texas and Oklahoma. This is a relationship-driven, new-business sales role for someone who is already well established in the industry.

• Leverage an existing end-client network to identify and generate new business.
• Develop new accounts and expand revenue throughout the assigned territory.
• Build and maintain direct relationships with contractors, utilities, municipalities, ISPs, telecommunications providers, and other end users.
• Manage the sales process from initial conversation through quoting, negotiation, and close.
• Conduct customer visits, product discussions, and sales meetings.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
• Coordinate with internal sales teams, manufacturers, and vendor partners to support customers.
• Maintain an active pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts.
• Attend trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings as needed.
• Stay current on market activity, products, competitors, and customer demand.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of outside sales experience.
• Established and active end-client network within broadband, telecommunications, utilities, fiber infrastructure, electrical distribution, or a closely related market.
• Demonstrated ability to turn existing industry relationships into new sales opportunities and revenue.
• Proven history of developing new accounts and growing a territory.
• Experience selling directly to customers/end users rather than primarily managing enterprise or strategic corporate accounts.
• Strong understanding of relationship-based, territory sales.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Self-directed and comfortable operating independently in a remote environment.
• Ability to travel for customer meetings and industry events.
• Must reside in Texas or Oklahoma.

• Broadband and fiber contractors
• Internet service providers
• Telecommunications providers
• Utilities and municipalities
• OSP/fiber construction companies
• Regional operators and service providers
• Other direct purchasers of broadband and telecommunications products
