[Hiring] Outside Sales Engineer @Branom Instrument Company

Role Description

We are looking for a proactive and independent Outside Sales Engineer/Representative to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will work remotely in the Arizona region. The selected candidate must reside in or be willing to relocate to the territory.

The Job:

• Working within the assigned Arizona territory, manage customer relationships, provide technical sales support and determine customer pricing strategies for various manufacturers at the customers' places of business, virtually, at trade shows and in various forms of communication.
• Responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle from cold calling to after sales support including:
  • Identifying opportunities and product specifications
  • Delivering presentation to end users, facility engineering and maintenance personnel
  • Developing relationships and interacting with client purchasing departments
  • Overseeing product commissioning support
• Utilize company CRM (Odoo) to maintain customer database, track projects and opportunities and produce accurate performance reports for distribution
• Collaborate with Inside Sales and Technical Support to determine customers’ needs
• Travel throughout assigned territory to meet with regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or technical application advice
• Displays or demonstrates product, using samples, electronic or printed literature and emphasizes salable features
• Quote price, credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained with assistance from Inside Sales teammate
• Estimates dates of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm’s production and delivery schedules
• Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts within 30 days of date of expense
• Penetrate all target accounts and radiate sales from within client base
• Investigates and resolves customer problems and deliveries
• Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web site and other sources
• Attends tradeshows, training and other meetings on behalf of company
• Coordinates customer training

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, with a preference for a degree in a science, math or engineering curriculum.
• At least 3 years of sales experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations in English.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to define problems, collect data and information, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database software, Project Management software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License with a favorable driving abstract.

• Base salary PLUS monthly bonus ($80,000-$175,000)
