Role Description

For more than 150 years, Follett Content Solutions has helped educators put the right books in students' hands. We partner with K-12 schools and public libraries nationwide to build diverse print and digital collections, reaching more than 45 million students worldwide.

We are currently hiring for an Outside Sales Consultant for the Tennessee/Mississippi/Arkansas area. This position is an exempt full-time remote position. The person must be located and live within their territory. The hire will reside in Arkansas, Mississippi, or Tennessee. The base salary for this position is $70,895.00 annually, plus commission and bonus potential as described above.

This position will be selling into K-12 School Libraries, Public Libraries, and Classroom Solutions. Join a team that makes a positive impact on education and literacy by empowering educators and putting books into kids' hands.

• Contact current and prospective school districts and sites to support selling the full portfolio of Follett content library and classroom products.
• Promote, demonstrate, and sell the value of all assigned product lines and services utilizing a shared Outside/Inside sales model.
• Focus selling efforts primarily on district-level contacts and partner with the inside sales team on site-based selling.
• Meet established requirements of sales dollars, sales development, and increases.
• Monitor voice mail and e-mail daily and respond appropriately to company correspondence.
• Attend and participate in local, regional, and national exhibits, webinars, trade shows, and sales meetings as scheduled.
• Liaise and maintain communication with sales support groups within the company.
• Manage your assigned territory with appropriate input into the existing CRM tool.
• Review and be knowledgeable on all promotional materials, catalogs, and customer-facing marketing collateral.
• Research internet information and social media regarding school districts, public libraries, grants, programs, initiatives, and other relevant information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5 years of Outside Sales Experience.
• Must reside within the territory.
• 60-75% travel (onsite at schools/libraries, travel within territory).
• 3-5 years of related sales experience.
• Solid presentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with complex sales situations and operating within a district sales model.
