Role Description

As a National Sales Manager at Trouw Nutrition, a Nutreco company, you’ll own national sales performance by:

  • Leading and motivating the sales team to build winning account plans.
  • Executing in-store merchandising and training to grow brand visibility.
  • Consistently delivering against sales targets.
  • Taking accountability for forecasting and territory budgets.
  • Using data and CRM discipline to turn insights into clear action plans.
  • Proactively removing barriers to customer success by partnering closely with operations and distribution.
  • Staying plugged into market and competitor trends.
  • Strengthening long-standing customer relationships.
  • Directly managing a portfolio of key accounts.
  • Developing new business opportunities that move the business forward.

Qualifications

  • Proven sales leadership experience.
  • Strong strategic thinking and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Strong planning discipline (business and sales planning, budgeting/forecasting).
  • Solid digital/CRM fluency.

Requirements

  • Sales leadership & coaching: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a sales team to consistently deliver against targets.
  • Strategic selling & negotiation: Strong commercial judgment with well-developed strategic sales planning and negotiation skills.
  • Planning, forecasting & budget management: Experience building business/sales plans, forecasting accurately, and managing territory budgets to meet objectives.
  • Customer relationship & key account management: Ability to build durable customer partnerships, grow existing accounts, and develop new business opportunities, ideally with previous experience in consumer-packaged goods or Pet Food Sales.
  • Data/CRM fluency & communication: High competency using CRM and sales analytics to drive action, paired with excellent written and verbal communication (English; French is an asset).
