Role Description
The National Sales Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the LCL national business through end-to-end purchase order management, customer performance analytics, trade optimization and customer-facing issue resolution. This position owns the end-to-end management and visibility of LCL purchase orders from receipt through completion, including the analysis of OTIF, fill rate and customer compliance performance. The role serves as a key point of contact with LCL for order-performance matters, working directly with the customer and coordinating internally with the appropriate functional teams to drive timely resolution.
The National Sales Analyst also provides deep commercial and trade analytics across the LCL business, translating customer, sales, promotional and performance data into actionable insights that support revenue growth, improved execution and stronger customer performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Analytics or a related field.

2-5 years of experience in sales analytics, customer analytics, national accounts or a related commercial role within CPG.

Experience working with major Canadian grocery or mass retail customers is an asset.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills with demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable commercial insights.

Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups and formulas; Power BI is an asset.

Experience with customer portals, retailer performance data and customer reporting tools.

Experience working with ERP systems; SAP experience is an asset.

Demonstrated ability to analyze customer performance, sales trends, promotional effectiveness and compliance metrics.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work directly with customers and internal stakeholders.
Requirements

Own end-to-end PO management for the total LCL national business, from receipt and visibility through completion and customer resolution.

Monitor order status and performance, proactively identifying exceptions, risks and recurring issues requiring action.

Maintain clear visibility of open and unresolved PO issues and drive them through to resolution with the appropriate internal teams and LCL contacts.

Act as the Sales team's primary customer-facing contact for LCL PO performance and related order-resolution matters.

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with appropriate LCL contacts to support timely communication, escalation and resolution.

Identify recurring order-performance issues and provide fact-based recommendations for process improvement.

Own detailed analysis of LCL OTIF and fill-rate performance.

Maintain reporting and dashboards identifying performance trends, recurring issues and areas requiring corrective action.

Investigate OTIF and fill-rate failures to establish the facts and identify the underlying cause.

Coordinate with the appropriate internal functions to obtain information and drive resolution while maintaining Sales ownership of the customer-facing outcome.

Analyze customer fines and compliance charges related to order performance.

Own the investigation, documentation and customer dispute process for fines where supporting data demonstrates that a charge should be challenged.

Track disputed fines through resolution and provide visibility to Sales leadership on financial exposure, recovery and recurring trends.

Use OTIF, fill-rate and compliance data to identify opportunities to improve LCL customer performance and reduce avoidable costs.

Analyze LCL sales performance by banner, category, brand, SKU and other relevant customer measures.

Develop customer scorecards, KPI dashboards and performance reporting that provide actionable commercial insights.

Identify sales trends, distribution opportunities, performance gaps and emerging risks.

Support the Director and National Account Manager with fact-based analysis for customer meetings, business reviews and commercial decision-making.

Analyze distribution gains and losses, pricing activity, item performance and customer trends.

Translate complex customer and sales data into clear recommendations and actions.

Provide detailed analysis of promotional and trade performance across the LCL business.

Measure promotional effectiveness and post-event performance to identify opportunities for improved commercial return.

Analyze trade investment against sales performance and customer results to support optimization of future activity.

Identify underperforming and high-performing programs, brands and SKUs and provide recommendations to the commercial team.

Build effective working relationships with LCL contacts responsible for order performance, compliance and related customer metrics.

Represent the LCL Sales team in customer-facing discussions related to PO execution, OTIF, fill rate, fines and performance analytics.

Ensure customer issues are clearly documented, communicated and progressed to resolution.

Coordinate internally across functions while maintaining ownership of the customer communication and commercial outcome.

Escalate material or recurring issues to the Director, Customer Development - LCL with supporting data, financial impact and recommended actions.

Act as the commercial link between the LCL Sales team and the internal functions required to resolve customer issues.

Provide internal teams with clear customer data, performance information and required actions.

Coordinate resolution across functions without assuming ownership of those functions' operational responsibilities.

Ensure that customer commitments, issues and resolutions are accurately communicated and tracked.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen customer execution and commercial performance.
Benefits

The base compensation range for this role is $65,000 CAD - $78,000 CAD.

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individualβs knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity.

Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.

This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
