Role Description
Key member of the Strategic Account team that drives value creation by identifying strengths and competitive advantages and incorporating them into marketing strategy and customer service initiatives. Serves as the key Weyerhaeuser interface with national builder, building materials dealer, and home improvement warehouse customers. Liaison between Weyerhaeuser and its enterprise customers. Typically responsible for the largest national customers. Acts as a conduit for executive level discussions regarding joint business strategies, opportunities, solutions, and pertinent issues beyond day-to-day business. This role requires ability to travel 40-50% of the time.

Proactively searches for opportunities to use WY solutions to benefit customers while achieving business goals.

Partners with the Strategic Marketing and WP Sales teams to define industry, geographic and customer segment goals, targets, and opportunities.

Collaborates with sales leaders to support successful implementation of their strategies.

Facilitates and supports in-market activities related to customer accounts.

Single point of contact, resolving customer requests and issues quickly by escalating problems to key internal decision makers.

Proven negotiator with the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts, including internal conflict resolution and external negotiations in multiple areas.

Advanced level knowledge of wood product end uses, manufacturing, market dynamics and product supply channels.

Proven ability to successfully form and maintain strong relationships at all levels, with an emphasis at the executive level.

Able to leverage contacts to create opportunities and maintain relationships for the business.

Strong knowledge of the market and direct involvement with key stakeholders in the channel.

Excels at facilitating and fostering honest and candid input from stakeholders.

Qualifications

HS/GED and 10+ years directly related experience OR 4-year degree and 6+ in a wood products or building materials (or closely related industry) customer facing position.

This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, targeting a salary range of $119,088-$178,774 based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
