Role Description
The Mortgage Sales Assistant is responsible for assisting the Mortgage Sales Team with member applications, appointment scheduling, member documentation, reporting, and referral/lead tracking. Responsibilities also include assisting with general mortgage inquiries and gathering documentation from potential applicant(s) and/or Mortgage Representatives and uploading into LOS. This position is focused on the administrative side of the originations process and is responsible for supporting the rest of the team in this capacity, providing members with the highest level of member service.
Responsibilities

Build lifetime quality financial relationships with each member by providing competitive products and excellent service.

Answer all incoming calls from general information phone lines.

Return calls for general information to prospective borrowers.

Refer calls to the appropriate person within the Lending Sales and Operations teams.

Mail applications, brochures, or other appropriate material to calling members as requested.

Pre-qualify applicants.

Take applications over the phone.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales tracking and member satisfaction survey reports using Microsoft Excel and internal reports.

Monitor member submitted applications and import new loans into Mortgagebot LOS from POS.

Support MLOs with document collections and member follow-up. Complete and send notice of incomplete (NOI) when required.

Schedule appointments for the Mortgage Loan Officers.

Respond to telephone calls and emails directed to the Mortgage team and assist with general inquiries related to approval process, mortgage statuses, and loan programs.

Review and process paperwork submitted by Mortgage Loan Officers and members. Scan/upload application documents into Mortgagebot LOS.

Coordinate and communicate with MLO, members, processors to ensure the mortgage application process is smoothly completed with accurate documentation.

Manage multiple loans in a fast-paced work environment.

Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional products and services to support memberโs financial needs.

Achieve referral goals set to deepen member relationships with MCU and support deposit growth goals.

Perform other related duties as requested and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications

Associateโs degree, or equivalent experience, plus 1 year of experience in a first or second residential lending origination environment.

Familiar with DocMagic a plus.

NMLS will be required.

Ability to perform in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Technologically proficient.

The pay range for this position is between $21-42.24/hr. Actual base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
