Role Description

We're seeking an experienced B2B Lead Generation Specialist to research potential customers, identify decision-makers and initiate meaningful sales conversations through targeted outbound email campaigns. The primary objective is to generate qualified, interested prospects and hand over quality conversations to the internal sales team to progress through the sales process. The role will initially focus on email outreach, with the potential to expand into outbound calling and appointment setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Research: Identify target businesses, research decision-makers and build accurate, relevant prospect lists.
• Outbound Prospecting: Execute personalised cold email campaigns and manage follow-up sequences.
• Lead Qualification: Engage interested prospects, identify potential needs and assess genuine sales opportunities.
• Sales Handover: Pass qualified conversations to the sales team with clear notes, context and relevant prospect information.
• CRM Management: Maintain accurate prospect records, track outreach activity and report on campaign performance.
• Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the sales team to refine targeting, messaging and lead quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in B2B lead generation, prospect research or outbound email prospecting.
• Excellent written English and professional communication skills.
• Strong research skills and ability to identify relevant decision-makers.
• Experience with LinkedIn, CRM systems and email outreach tools.
• Ability to personalise outreach, qualify interest and recognise genuine opportunities.
• Highly organised, proactive and comfortable working independently.

Highly Regarded

• Experience generating leads for SaaS, IT or technology companies.
• Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo or similar tools.
• Experience prospecting into international markets.
• Understanding of cybersecurity, digital forensics or legal technology.
• Previous outbound calling or appointment-setting experience.

Performance Expectations

Success will be measured by the quality of prospect research, consistency of outbound activity, positive responses and, most importantly, qualified sales conversations successfully handed over to the sales team. The focus is on generating meaningful opportunities rather than simply maximising email volume.

Compensation

AUD 1,500–1,800/month, depending on experience, plus performance-based incentives linked to qualified opportunities generated. Potential to expand into telephone prospecting and appointment setting as the role develops.
