The Inside Sales Specialist will be responsible for successfully positioning and selling the LGC Diagnostics & Genomics portfolio including products and services. The job involves:

Identifying, qualifying, and engaging with new and existing customers.

Positioning LGC Diagnostics & Genomics products to provide solutions to scientific and business needs.

Working closely with the commercial team to achieve shared revenue and growth goals.

Home-based position with expectations to attend meetings regularly within a dedicated sales territory.
-
International travel expected as part of the role (<10%).
Position Summary:

Region: Pacific Northwest (Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Wyoming etc.)

Lead Management: Follow up by phone or email on new customer inquiries, sample requests, webinars, and tradeshow leads.

Direct Sales: Collaborate with Field Sales and Commercial Applications team members to achieve new sales results.

Prospecting: Proactively seek new customers and business opportunities within existing customers.

Pipeline Management: Assist Marketing and Product Management with efforts to generate and qualify a sufficient pipeline of prospects.

Industry and Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and competitive offerings.

Reporting: Provide timely sales and pipeline inputs to support reporting of leading and lagging indicators.

Schedule/Core Hours: Monday β Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Qualifications

A bachelorβs degree in Life Sciences.

Proven, effective time management and organizational skills.

Ability to work autonomously and to travel as needed (<10%).

Outstanding interpersonal and networking skills to drive successful relationship building.

Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with experience or ability to effectively report and track sales metrics.

Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills.

Results-oriented, high-energy, and positive βcan-doβ approach.

Strong skills and expertise in using Microsoft Office and associated applications.

Excellent business and sales presentation skills using PowerPoint required.
Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales, account management, or customer service.

Demonstrated understanding and skill set in effective sales process including forecasting.

A minimum of 1 year of experience in the life science industry, including bench/lab work in molecular biology or genetics.

Proficiency with SalesForce.com or other CRM for pipeline and account management.
