Role Description
The Inside Sales Representative supports independent accounts and Sales Managers by providing responsive service, strong operational support, and day-to-day account coordination. This role helps drive account success by managing orders, resolving issues quickly, building strong relationships, and adapting to the evolving needs of the business and our customers.

Partner with Sales Managers to provide day-to-day support for independent accounts and ensure a high level of customer service.

Confirm and enter incoming purchase orders received by fax, phone, or email.

Provide timely and accurate responses to inquiries from Sales Managers and independent accounts, including:

Item availability
-
Order placement
-
Account maintenance
-
Backorder status
-
Product information
-
Selection of the best product mix for customers.

Address warranty issues or concerns.

Communicate back orders and suggest alternate products.

Promptly respond to emailed inquiries with well-written, concise emails answering questions, offering solutions, and addressing concerns.

Execute the operational aspects of account support to help independent accounts and Sales Managers deliver strong business results.

Ensure special instructions are noted and visible on purchase orders for correct processing.

Effectively communicate with customers when inventory constraints and/or quality issues impact timely fulfillment of orders.

Communicate with accounting to ensure customer accounts are in good standing, including invoicing, cash receipts, and credits.

Support sales growth across independent accounts by partnering with Sales Managers on account needs, opportunities, and follow-through.

Develop in-depth knowledge of our products, technologies, and innovations to serve as a go-to resource for specialty retail accounts.

Deliver engaging in-store training sessions, workshops, and presentations to elevate product knowledge and sales techniques.

Cultivate strong partnerships with retail staff, store leadership, and key WHSL accounts to foster collaboration and drive sales performance.

Share compelling brand stories, values, and heritage to inspire enthusiasm and loyalty among specialty retail teams.

Collect and report on account feedback, product performance, and competitor activity to inform internal strategies.

Support the execution of seasonal launches, marketing campaigns, and optimizing product merchandising to maximize sell-through performance.

Participate in local events, brand activations, and community initiatives across all WHSL channel partners to strengthen brand presence and consumer connection.
Qualifications

Bachelorβs degree preferred.

At least 0-2 years of experience in B2B account management or customer service.

Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Basic understanding of accounting principles.

Ability to efficiently execute multiple tasks and work in an entrepreneurial fast-paced environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Relationship skills β the ability to connect well over the phone, in person, and via email.

High sense of urgency.
