Role Description
The Flow Cytometry Sales Representative is responsible for implementing a sales plan designed to achieve established sales and financial goals. Key responsibilities include:

Calling on prospective and current company customers

Involving technical personnel to resolve customer’s issues and problems as needed

Participating in the establishment of sales targets and design of the territory's sales plan

Controlling sales expenses
-
Strategic sales targets include all Academic, Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Industrial, Hospitals, CROs, etc.
This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager and is part of Beckman Coulter Life Science Commercial Organization working remotely to cover New Jersey and Pennsylvania territory.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Sell flow cytometry hardware to quotas assigned

Sell consumables to quotas assigned

Manage assigned territory accounts

Search out new and competitive business and work with accounts to develop programs to expand and increase our influence and presence
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Scientific field with 5+ years’ experience OR Master’s degree in a scientific field with 1+ years’ experience

Solid understanding of tactical sales skills (prospecting, qualifying, closing, and growing existing customers)

Practical experience and/or knowledge of flow cytometry equipment

Highly motivated, success-driven, with strong communication and presentation skills
-
Excellent time and territory management habits
Requirements

Must live in the greater Philadelphia area
-
Ability to travel – 70% travel within territory and overnights
-
Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
-
Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lb
Benefits

Base salary range: $95,000 – $105,000
-
Eligible for Sales Incentive Compensation (SIC)

Total target compensation under the plan (base + SIC): $184,900 - $194,900 annually
