Role Description
The Destination Manager - FIT will be reporting under the Regional Manager. The roleβs main responsibility is to add new contracted properties in the area of his/her responsibility, ensuring the best commercial performance possible.

Responsible for the overall commercial contacting activities and results in his/her destination.

Develop the annual action plan in conjunction with the RM.

Provide regular and detailed updates of the area performance to the RM, the HoC and the board via the monthly report.

Securing exclusive rates, inventory and conditions within his/her portfolio of hotels through negotiations and management of supplier relations.

Business trips are requested on a regular basis (ideally once per month); costs budget to be prepared with the RM.

Ensuring a positive and professional image of the company.

Foster a culture of success. Be results driven and passionate about negotiation.
Tasks under the responsibility are as follows:

Delivery of most competitive contracts in terms of rates and availability, including special deals such as pre-buy, reverse override or override.

Ensure that all contracts go through the correct commercial approval processes and that all details are provided for data input.

Undertake on-going analysis of product and quality within contracting area in line with the business requirements and needs.

Ensure credit is being negotiated on all contracts, in line with the set cluster payment schedule. Keep anomalies to an absolute minimum.

Make sure book-outs and any resulting losses are reduced to an absolute minimum.

Proactive problem-solving, working with the team.

Qualifications

Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to interact and influence at all levels of an organisation including hotel management and owners.

Strong commercial skills with a working knowledge of hotel distribution.

Driven to succeed with a professional βcan doβ attitude and work ethic. Able to work to deadlines independently in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication with robust verbal and written English.

Proficient at evaluating and analysing data to determine and execute the necessary strategies needed to achieve growth.

IT proficiency including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
