Role Description
We are looking for experienced UltraCare Liaisons (UCLs) that will represent Ultragenyx in the Rare Disease Community, responsible for the promotion of:

Dojolvi for the treatment of long chain fatty oxidation disorders (LC-FAOD)

Fayuvi, a gene therapy treatment of Sanfilippo syndrome Type A (MPSIIIA)

Genglycos, a gene therapy treatment for Glycogen Storage Disease Type 1a (GSD1a)
We are seeking driven individuals with the desire to run their own business within a specified geography. These individuals will have strong business acumen, be able to drive change through innovative approaches, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and consistently deliver sales results.
Work Model:

Field: Officially documented as working as a member of the Ultragenyx field team, generally interacting with third parties on behalf of Ultragenyx.

Territory includes: Illinois, Kansas and Missouri - Must live in territory geography.

Responsibilities
-
Serve as territory business owner with a focus upon impact and territory analysis.

Optimize patient diagnosis and care through HCP education.
-
Educate HCPs about Ultragenyx approved products.

Assist with treatment fulfillment.

Develop and nurture effective business relationships with key stakeholders, including HCPs, Registered Dieticians, Genetic Counselors, Pharmacists, and related support staff.

Proactively build effective working relationships with internal/external stakeholders; drive agreement/decisions from multiple stakeholders.

Develop and maintain a strategic territory business plan focused on key academic centers, community targets, territory opportunities, and challenges.

Determine and implement suitable travel schedule and call plan on a daily/weekly basis.

Execute programs, high impact in-services, and other educational opportunities for their territory.

Timely completion of compliance trainings, internal product & disease state trainings, Veeva administration, monthly expense reports, and all other administration expectations.
Qualifications

Bachelorβs Degree required.

8 years with 5+ years in the healthcare/biotech industry, inclusive of 3 years of field-based experience in account management, sales, and/or field reimbursement. Rare disease experience is preferred.

Experience launching biopharma/pharma products successfully is preferred.

Documented track record of field sales success.

Strategic business acumen and cross-functional collaborative leadership with internal stakeholders.

Demonstrated experience effectively presenting clinical/scientific information required.

Approximately 50 - 60% travel is required; overnight travel as needed.

Must live in territory geography. Territory includes: Illinois, Kansas and Missouri.
