[Hiring] Enterprise Account Manager @TiDB

As an Enterprise Account Manager at PingCAP Japan, you will be responsible for expanding TiDB's business with major enterprise customers in sectors such as telecommunications, retail, and manufacturing. This position leads value propositions, implementations, and expansions for enterprise customers in close collaboration with the Solutions Architect (PreSales) team.

• Propose and sell products, solutions, consulting, and technical support centered around TiDB for enterprise customers in telecommunications, retail, and manufacturing.
• Develop new customers and create opportunities in collaboration with the Solutions Architect team.
• Lead and close large deals considering industry-specific business practices and decision-making processes.
• Coordinate with internal departments to address customer needs and manage adjustments and escalations during issues.
• Foster a customer success culture through collaboration within the team.
• Build the foundation and processes for the enterprise sales team in anticipation of future business expansion.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales experience in the IT industry or related fields (experience proposing to enterprise customers in telecommunications, retail, and manufacturing is a plus).
• Experience with cloud, databases, or related IT products.
• Positive attitude towards building sales operations and playbooks from scratch.

Requirements

• Possess a customer base or network in telecommunications, retail, or manufacturing industries.
• Sales experience in open-source technology companies or cloud service companies (AWS / Azure / GCP, etc.).
• Technical background with the ability to deeply engage with customer challenges and propose solutions.
• Experience in a startup environment or enjoyment of dynamic work settings.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

• Location: Tokyo office, remote work available, full flextime (no core hours).
