[Hiring] Director of Aircraft Software Sales @Vale Group

Role Description

Vale Group, a nationwide specialized recruitment firm, has partnered with a company operating in the global private aviation sector, who is actively searching for an experienced Director of Aircraft Software Sales to work fully remote for an opportunity paying $120,000–$130,000 base salary plus up to $50,000 in commission (target total compensation near $175,000), based on experience, with flexibility for the right candidate. This is a high-visibility, revenue-driving role covering a portfolio of aircraft monitoring and compliance-tracking products for large-cabin, non-commercial aircraft, working directly with VVIPs, principals and their teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive background in large-cabin, non-commercial (wide-body) aviation, ideally supporting private ownership operations
• Comfortable engaging with VVIP-level clientele and their representatives with polish and discretion
• Proven success managing an active account portfolio while identifying and closing upsell opportunities
• Full-cycle sales background — prospecting through close — within aviation technology or a related software environment
• Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance-tracking, fleet-monitoring, or MRO-adjacent workflows
• Confident, persuasive communicator with strong presentation and negotiation skills
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in an aviation-related capacity (maintenance, flight operations, avionics, sales, or software)
• Four-year degree in aviation, business, or a related discipline preferred
• No specific license or certification required; familiarity with aviation regulatory bodies (FAA, EASA, or similar) is a plus
• Existing relationships with maintenance and repair organizations (MROs) considered a strong plus
• Prior exposure to government contracting or procurement processes is a plus
• Self-motivated and capable of independently managing a worldwide book of business
• Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce or similar) for pipeline management and reporting

Requirements

• Grow and manage an existing account portfolio, uncovering upsell opportunities across current relationships
• Own the full sales cycle — prospecting, qualifying, and closing — for a suite of aircraft monitoring and compliance-tracking solutions
• Build new relationships with private aircraft operators, VVIP principals and their representatives, and maintenance providers around the globe
• Partner with the marketing team to convert inbound leads and support broader pipeline-generation efforts
• Deliver clear, compelling product demonstrations and presentations tailored to each client's needs
• Maintain organized, accurate records of account and prospect activity for internal reporting
• Provide dependable forecasting and pipeline visibility to leadership
• Stay current on industry trends, competitive offerings, and evolving customer needs in business aviation
• Support as needed
