Role Description

The Director, Growth Initiatives is a frontline fundraiser responsible for:

• Identifying, cultivating, securing, and retaining groups, particularly within the collegiate space.
• Advancing fundraising and mission-driven activities.
• Serving as a strategic thought partner and hands-on implementer of cultivation, engagement, and stewardship strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree preferred.
• Eight or more years of fundraising or sales experience.
• Strong background in constituent recruitment, relationship management, cultivation, and stewardship.
• Experience using a constituent relationship management system, preferably Salesforce.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in negotiation and solution-oriented problem solving.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of fundraising, sales, pipeline development, moves management, account strategy, and constituent stewardship.
• Proven ability to create deep and meaningful prospect pipelines.
• Ability to lead individuals or cross-functional teams in pursuing and securing major opportunities.
• Strong communication, presentation, organizational, analytical, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to build and maintain trust and rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze performance data and adjust strategies to improve fundraising efficiency.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, resourceful, and committed to excellence.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
