Role Description
At Clario, a part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, the Director, Cardiac Solutions is responsible for developing and executing the Cardiac business strategy, driving sales growth, achieving bookings objectives, and supporting the expansion of cardiac-focused clinical research solutions. This leadership role partners closely with Business Development, Product Management, and cross-functional teams to identify market opportunities, develop innovative offerings, and strengthen customer relationships. The successful candidate will combine strategic business leadership, consultative sales expertise, and deep industry knowledge to support organizational growth and deliver value to sponsors across the clinical research landscape.
Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve Cardiac business sales objectives, bookings goals, and revenue targets.

Partner with Business Development and Product Management to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities.

Participate in sales, product management, and strategic planning meetings in support of key opportunities and business initiatives.

Develop and implement winning strategies for active sales opportunities across cardiac-related products and services.

Lead negotiations and secure new business agreements while meeting or exceeding assigned sales targets.

Support proposal development, bid defense meetings, client presentations, and strategic customer engagements.

Drive pipeline development activities and ensure alignment between business development objectives and operational capabilities.

Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to evaluate sales performance and identify opportunities for growth.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business development, product development, and service delivery activities.

Provide ongoing product, market, and therapeutic area training to Business Development teams.

Work closely with Product Management to support the development of new offerings that address identified customer and market needs.

Develop qualitative and quantitative analyses that support strategic initiatives and business decision-making.

Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, key stakeholders, and strategic accounts within the clinical research industry.

Represent Clario, a part of Thermo Fisher Scientific at industry events, conferences, customer meetings, and other business development activities.

Manage administrative responsibilities, including travel planning, expense management, and reporting requirements.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Clinical Research, Healthcare, or a related discipline.

Minimum of 5 years of sales experience with demonstrated success executing strategic sales initiatives both directly and through a professional sales organization.

Experience within clinical research, diagnostics, life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO environments.

Proven success in major account management and consultative selling within complex healthcare or clinical research markets.

Demonstrated ability to develop and penetrate large multinational accounts and build long-term customer relationships.

Strong track record of achieving and exceeding aggressive sales and revenue objectives.

Experience working in both large and emerging growth organizations is preferred.

Strong understanding of clinical research processes, diagnostics, and therapeutic service offerings.

Excellent negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship management skills.

Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities with experience using data to drive business decisions.

Highly organized with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM platforms.

Ability to travel regularly for business, including domestic and international travel.
