[Hiring] Dairy Technology Sales Representative @Cencora

Role Description

The Dairy Technology Sales Representative is responsible for generating sales of MICRO Technologies to both existing and new customers within an assigned sales territory. This role supports Cencora's veterinary and livestock production solutions marketed through our MWI Animal Health business.

• Travel throughout an assigned territory, calling on existing and prospective customers, while maintaining a current list of 10 best prospects.
• Build long-term mutually beneficial relationships with dairy, consulting veterinary practices, consulting nutritionists, and state livestock associations.
• Present and demonstrate new technologies to customers, educating them on features, advantages, and benefits of each product.
• Quote prices and credit terms based on target margin objectives; prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
• Ensure orderly transfer of customer relationship to appropriate customer representative after establishing customer account.
• Compile and maintain target lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
• Assist field support computer technicians in the installation and/or repair of technology management systems.
• Act as secondary support for all technologies in assigned territory, recommending changes to improve operations.
• Coordinate and assist with training of personnel in the use of all technology systems.
• Participate in sales efforts with Territory Managers and Sales/Service Representatives.
• Prepare various reports of business transactions, including accurate and timely expense reporting and sales call reporting.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree with one to three years of outside sales experience is required; or a minimum of ten years’ related experience if no degree.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to sell.
• A valid driver’s license and good driving record are mandatory.
• Ability to travel overnight on occasion, up to 50% of the time.
