Role Description
As a Converter Market Specialist for IATD, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Leading strategic account management and Joint Business Planning for assigned converter accounts to drive profitable growth

Implementing sales strategies that increase share of wallet across existing converters and unlock new business opportunities

Determining customer needs, specification opportunities, and value drivers across the automotive converter ecosystem

Supporting projects from concept development through qualification, commercialization, and final delivery

Communicating differentiated technical and commercial value propositions to converters, end users, and internal stakeholders

Collaborating with cross-functional teams including sales, DSS, AE, portfolio, and partnering divisions to deliver customer solutions effectively and on time

Promoting the full 3M portfolio to accelerate sales growth, New Product Introduction targets, and customer success

Sharing market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback to support strategic decision-making and portfolio positioning
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferably in Science, Engineering, or Business Administration

Significant experience in sales, business development, or strategic account management
-
Strong understanding of the automotive ecosystem, including tiers, OEMs, supply chains, and specification-driven selling

Proven track record of consistently delivering sales growth and managing complex customer relationships

Strong communication, networking, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
-
Excellent sales planning, execution, pipeline management, forecasting, and opportunity management capabilities
-
Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills with solid commercial and financial acumen
-
Fluent in both German and English

Experience working with converter-focused 3M product portfolios and application-based solutions

Experience within the converter market

Demonstrated agility, accountability, customer focus, and ability to navigate complex market landscapes and supply chains

Travel expectations: May include up to 70% domestic travel
