Role Description
As the Commercial Director for the DACH region, you will lead a team of sales professionals focused on driving new business acquisition within Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will play a pivotal role in executing regional sales initiatives and ensuring the team meets their targets. This role requires a hands-on leader with proven experience in managing sales teams and a strong ability to adapt to the unique challenges of the DACH market.

Team Leadership and Development

Manage and mentor a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and team sales goals.

Conduct regular coaching and development sessions to enhance team members’ skills and performance.

Sales Execution

Implement regional sales strategies as directed by the Chief Commercial Officer to drive lead generation, demo conversions, and new client acquisition.

Monitor the sales pipeline to ensure timely follow-ups and deal closures.

Collaborate with the team to identify and pursue opportunities.

Ensure alignment with global sales processes and best practices.

Regional Focus

Act as the primary point of contact for sales-related activities in the DACH region.

Provide insights on regional market trends.

Develop localized strategies to address market-specific challenges and grow market share in the DACH region.

Align closely with other departments to support regional needs and drive lead generation efforts.

Reporting and Performance Management

Track, forecast and analyze sales metrics to evaluate team performance and identify areas for improvement.

Provide regular updates to the Chief Commercial Officer on regional sales progress.

Implement tools and processes to optimize sales team efficiency and effectiveness.

Effective pipeline management.

Coach and develop team members to improve performance, leveraging tools such as Modjo for data-driven insights.

Qualifications

C2-level German proficiency and fluency in English with excellent communication skills.

Ideally based in Germany or within the DACH region.

Proven experience in managing and developing sales teams, preferably in SaaS or hospitality technology industries.

Strong leadership and motivational skills with a track record of driving team success.

Familiarity with CRM systems, preferably Hubspot, and sales tools to track and optimize performance.
