Role Description

As the Commercial Director for the DACH region, you will lead a team of sales professionals focused on driving new business acquisition within Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will play a pivotal role in executing regional sales initiatives and ensuring the team meets their targets. This role requires a hands-on leader with proven experience in managing sales teams and a strong ability to adapt to the unique challenges of the DACH market.

Your tasks will include:

  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Manage and mentor a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and team sales goals.
    • Conduct regular coaching and development sessions to enhance team members’ skills and performance.
    • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture where people feel supported, empowered, and genuinely valued as individuals.
    • Support the team in addressing challenges, driving consistent performance, and fostering their growth through thoughtful hiring and continuous career development.
  • Sales Execution
    • Implement regional sales strategies as directed by the Chief Commercial Officer to drive lead generation, demo conversions, and new client acquisition.
    • Monitor the sales pipeline to ensure timely follow-ups and deal closures.
    • Collaborate with the team to identify and pursue opportunities.
    • Ensure alignment with global sales processes and best practices.
  • Regional Focus
    • Act as the primary point of contact for sales-related activities in the DACH region.
    • Provide insights on regional market trends.
    • Develop localized strategies to address market-specific challenges and grow market share in the DACH region.
    • Align closely with other departments to support regional needs and drive lead generation efforts.
  • Reporting and Performance Management
    • Track, forecast and analyze sales metrics to evaluate team performance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Provide regular updates to the Chief Commercial Officer on regional sales progress.
    • Implement tools and processes to optimize sales team efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Effective pipeline management.
    • Coach and develop team members to improve performance, leveraging tools such as Modjo for data-driven insights.
  • Key Goals
    • Achieve or exceed regional revenue and new client acquisition targets.
    • Build and maintain a high-performing sales team.
    • Strengthen RoomPriceGenie’s market position and reputation across the DACH region.

Qualifications

  • C2-level German proficiency and fluency in English with excellent communication skills.
  • Ideally based in Germany or within the DACH region.
  • Proven experience in managing and developing sales teams, preferably in SaaS or hospitality technology industries.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills with a track record of driving team success.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. A real team player.
  • Ability to execute plans effectively and deliver results within a structured framework.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, preferably Hubspot, and sales tools to track and optimize performance.
  • Strong focus on driving AI-powered efficiency, with the ability to identify and apply AI tools to enhance team performance and productivity.
