[Hiring] Clinical Diabetes Sales Specialist @Tandem Diabetes Care

Role Description

The Clinical Diabetes Sales Specialist is responsible for promoting and selling Tandem Diabetes products and clinical services within the assigned territory. This role involves planning and achieving sales goals by gaining clinical acceptance of Tandem's insulin pump therapy products.

• Identify potential customers and develop business relationships to facilitate the use of Tandem Diabetes products and services.
• Become a trusted clinical partner to healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers, especially those managing the complexities of Type 1 diabetes.
• Provide account sales support and ongoing education directly to patients, physicians, and their staff.
• Discuss the technical aspects of insulin pump therapy and address any special considerations related to its use in the marketplace.
• Promote Tandem Diabetes products and services by offering education on diabetes self-management skills, emergency management, and community resources tailored to client needs.
• Collaborate closely with endocrinologists, diabetes educators, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to enhance product adoption and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust.
• Good knowledge of diabetes care, preferably Type 1 diabetes and insulin pump therapy.
• Commercial mindset combined with clinical insight.
• Independent and structured way of working.
• Experience with CRM systems and digital tools (such as Microsoft Office and Teams).
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Requirements

• Willingness to travel extensively within the Netherlands (approximately 80%).
• Experience in medical devices, pharmaceutical sales, or diabetes care is a plus.
• Background in (para)medical fields such as nursing or dietetics is advantageous.
• Direct experience with or affinity for individuals living with diabetes.
• Experience with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
