[Hiring] Central Selling Specialist - Flooring @Lowe's Companies, Inc.

Role Description

The Central Selling Specialist-Flooring is primarily responsible for:

• Creating/reviewing customer quotes.
• Contacting customers to close and/or tender the sale.
• Providing exceptional consultative services to customers.
• Collaborating directly with Service Providers and Store employees.

To be successful, the Central Selling Specialist - Flooring must have foundational knowledge of:

• Flooring products.
• Installation.
• Phone/Computer Systems.
• Common Customer Service practices.

What You Will Do

• Provide SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
• Work within system-based work queue to identify activities ready for review.
• Use various internal selling and project management systems to obtain and verify information related to service requests.
• Send, receive, and respond to questions from Stores and Service Providers related to quote details.
• Add product and/or promotional information to a quote as well as any additional labor items and associated charges.
• Complete quote refigures as needed.
• Organize work processes to ensure the most efficient workflow while collaborating with others.
• Provide peers and leadership team with relevant and timely information.
• Provide relevant feedback to Supervisor regarding the centralized selling model.
• Offer ways to improve the customer experience with the centralized selling model.
• Provide feedback to Supervisor regarding the process of Stores qualifying customers.
• Display a keen understanding of local competitive offerings.
• Demonstrate sincere appreciation to customers.
• Listen to and respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions.
• Communicate information to customers regarding all stock, special order merchandise, and warranty information.
• Follow up with customers to ensure all order and project requirements are satisfactorily met.
• Serve as a point of contact on all designs and/or installs within the department.
• Monitor order status of products and special orders.
• Enter, process, and track customer orders and installations.
• Accountable for other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable.
• Up to 1 Year Experience in a call center, office administrative, high volume retail, service support, or similar work environment.
• If the state or local municipality requires a salesperson license for this position, you must either be licensed or pass the requisite licensing exam within sixty (60) days of starting employment.

Preferred Skills/Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience in remodeling or construction industry.
• Lowe’s store experience.
• Installed flooring sales experience.
• Experience using MS Dynamics or similar CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool.

Requirements

• Pay Range: $16.42 - $27.42 per hour.
• Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
• Lowe's hourly remote associates cannot reside in Alaska, California, or Hawaii.
• Lowe's salaried remote associates cannot reside in Alaska or Hawaii.
