[Hiring] Business Development Representative @Lob

Role Description

The Business Development Representative (BDR) will raise awareness and generate interest for Lob through cold calling, emails, and social outreach to prospective customers. This is a unique role as we scale our BDR organization where you will have the opportunity to help bring our outbound GTM motion from 0->1 and have a major input on how we evolve the BDR motion.

The right candidate is a person who is customer obsessed, personable, and is highly self-motivated to continuously improve their outbound strategy.

• Build awareness and interest for Lob through cold calling, emails, and social outreach.
• Develop a deep understanding of Lob’s products and effectively communicate their benefits to prospects.
• Build and tailor outreach to prospects, creating effective strategies to educate and convert them.
• Organize and implement a multi-channel strategy, maximizing outreach efforts through calls, emails, and social messaging.
• Schedule meetings on Account Executives' calendars and support initial meetings + outreach.
• Ensure all activities are accurately logged and tracked.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of progressively responsible business development or inside sales related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Enthusiasm for cold calling and prospect outreach: The idea of talking to and engaging with a prospect to solve their problems should excite you.
• Work ethic: A relentless drive for excellence and a positive attitude to meet and exceed daily activity requirements while staying productive and focused.
• A mix of adaptability and desire to improve: Success in this role will require utilizing all available tools and continuously testing and improving processes.
• Systems thinking: Success means not just hitting activity numbers but also building a system to identify which accounts to prioritize and tailoring engagement for each one.
• Autonomy and adaptability: Inclination towards proactivity and ability to create the most effective cadence for yourself.

Benefits

• Annual base salary: $57,500.00 - $60,000.00.
• Variable: $34,500.00 - $40,000.00.
• Remote working opportunities in various states.
