Role Description

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Sales for the Ontario Region, your primary focus will be responding to inbound inquiries from clients seeking new quotes or expanded coverage. In this role, you will evaluate client requirements, recommend customized coverage options, and issue precise, competitive quotes. You will introduce new offerings, clarify policy details, and deliver high-quality service designed to foster long-term loyalty and generate incremental growth. Additionally, you will drive business expansion by requesting referrals and identifying avenues to strengthen client relationships.

• Drive New Business & Growth: Engage prospects to build rapport and sell insurance products. Timely handle phone inquiries and written requests, re-quote past prospects and cancelled files, follow up on ex-dates, outreach to leads, and generate client referrals.
• Client Relationship & Retention: Cultivate a trust-based environment that unlocks fresh sales opportunities while retaining current policyholders to maximize account value.
• Issue Ownership & Resolution: Take full accountability for client questions and concerns, minimizing customer effort. Resolve complex insurance scenarios by leveraging all available resources and creative solutions.
• Account Management & Documentation: Process account modifications accurately, draft correspondence, maintain complete records, and set up follow-up tasks within EPIC.
• Continuous Improvement & Teamwork: Collaborate with peers and work autonomously to drive ongoing enhancements across business operations.
• Market & Guidelines Awareness: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changing market conditions and organizational underwriting guidelines.
• Additional Duties: Perform other related responsibilities aligned with your skill set as assigned.

Qualifications

• A RIBO license is required, or an OTL license with the expectation to obtain a RIBO license within 45 days of employment.
• A minimum of one year’s experience in personal lines, automobile, property, and marine insurance.
• Exceptional communication skills and the demonstrated ability to deal effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer issues in a pleasant and positive manner.
• Superior time management and organizational skills to handle competing priorities.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications. Preference given to candidates with experience using Epic, Applied Rating Services, and Company portals.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, in English and French is required.
