Role Description
The incumbent should be a techno-commercial professional who will be accountable and responsible for sales operations and collections in the assigned territory to achieve targeted sales volumes, value, and net contributions through the promotion and sale of lab consumables.

Identify the right set of customers, promote products, and achieve sales goals for the given territory, including Chemicals, Imported - J T BAKER & VWR Chemicals, Chromatography consumables, Equipment, and Instruments.

Develop channels for sales and promotion while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Manage key accounts and work closely with channel distributors to achieve sales and profitability targets.

Develop new business within the geographic territory and with assigned clients and implement business strategies to drive profitable sales growth.

Follow up diligently on leads received from other areas of the organization.

Be responsible for the preparation of sales forecasts.

Function as a segment expert and understand market issues and trends impacting the designated segment.

Identify new key accounts, distributors/channel partners, and direct trade opportunities.

Coordinate market development, including requirement analysis, finalizing specifications, and monitoring competitors' products.

Map and manage key accounts, conduct market surveys to assess product potential and competitive market share, and provide pre-sales and after-sales support along with product education and advisory.
Qualifications

Graduation/Post-graduation in Science; an MBA is preferred.

5+ years of relevant experience in lab consumables sales/technical support.

Strong technical knowledge of lab chemicals, consumables, lab equipment/instruments, and microbiology or chromatography products, combined with a customer-centric approach.

Excellent analytical skills with good working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.

Effective communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
