Role Description
The VP, Account Management, Financial Services will lead the creation of strategic plans and guide others in managing all aspects of existing client relationships to maintain and expand the relationship beneficial to Assurant and its clients.
- Create, administer, and implement profitable client business strategies to drive growth and client retention.
- Ensure alignment of all stakeholders including client, marketing, operations, regulatory, supply chain, finance, actuarial, sales optimization, and respective sales and business development teams.
- Develop and cultivate relationships with key clients to ensure the stability of existing business.
- Manage all day-to-day interactions and client needs.
- Guide direct and matrix resources in the development of annual business plans and client business reviews to ensure metrics and mutual revenue goals are being met.
- Develop, negotiate, and execute contracts for enterprise-level clients that are new, extensions, or renewals according to what is best for the company.
- Guide team(s) in driving service utilization at the client level, including defining services to be performed as priced and contracted.
- Lead selection, prioritization, and coordination of client projects in collaboration with Client Services.
- Anticipate and/or resolve client issues with cross-functional area leaders and drive operational process efficiencies.
Qualifications
- BS/BA Degree – MBA preferred
- 15+ years sales and/or marketing experience within the Card Benefits industry
- 15+ years interacting with large clients and developing strategic relationships
- 7+ years directly leading the work of others
- Ability to develop and execute long-term (3+ year) plans
- Deep understanding and ability to manage and negotiate complex deals/contracts
- Advanced business/financial acumen
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills (effective pitching to Sr / “C” suite leaders)
- Deep industry knowledge
- Expert product knowledge
- Advanced negotiation skills
- Effectively cultivate relationships
- Ability to manage day-to-day risk, identify issues, and develop alternatives to determine the most effective course of action
- Analytical skills – review, interpret, and present financial and operational reports and dashboards

- Pay Range: $166,900.00 - $278,600.00
