Role Description

Wesper is seeking a Vice President of Sales to lead Wesper’s next phase of growth who is passionate about scaling companies, expanding into new markets, and driving revenue growth beyond $100M. In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Growth and collaborate closely with the executive team to execute a bold vision for Wesper’s future.

  • Spearhead expansion into untapped verticals

Responsibilities

  • Revenue Growth & Sales Strategy:
    • Accelerate Revenue Growth by designing and executing a data-driven sales strategy that strengthens Wesper’s market presence and drives consistent revenue expansion.
    • Expand into New Markets by identifying opportunities in hospitals, IDTFs, sleep clinics, dental practices, and other relevant sectors, developing tailored entry strategies to establish Wesper’s footprint.
    • Drive Sales by building and managing a robust pipeline, from prospecting to closing, to consistently exceed revenue targets.
  • Team Building & Leadership:
    • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
    • Provide strategic direction to regional and account managers, setting clear goals and performance expectations.
    • Develop scalable systems and processes that enable the sales organization to expand efficiently as Wesper continues to grow.
  • Market Expansion & Business Development:
    • Drive market expansion by identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities in both existing and untapped markets.
    • Strengthen strategic relationships, building long-lasting partnerships with healthcare executives, clinical leaders, and other key stakeholders.
    • Align Sales efforts by partnering with Marketing to refine messaging, develop sales collateral, and execute lead generation campaigns that fuel pipeline growth.
  • Data-Driven Sales Management:
    • Enhance Sales Forecasting by conducting pipeline reviews at regular intervals to identify trends, assess deal progress, and provide data-driven forecasts that inform strategic decision-making.
    • Develop and contribute to accurate sales forecasts by analyzing market trends, historical data, and business insights to support strategic decision-making.
    • Maximize CRM Efficiency to ensure accurate data, detailed meeting summaries, and actionable account plans.
    • Optimize Sales Performance by continuously tracking key sales metrics, analyzing performance patterns, and refining strategies to improve conversion rates and overall sales effectiveness.
  • Thought Leadership:
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on healthcare trends, competitive offerings, and Wesper’s positioning in the sleep care market.
    • Enhance Wesper’s market position by leveraging deep industry knowledge at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to establish the brand as a market leader and differentiate it from competitors.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of healthcare sales experience in medical devices, remote patient monitoring, population health management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of scaling a company past $50M-$100M+ in revenue, with significant contributions to market expansion.
  • Experience in startup or high-growth environments, demonstrating the ability to navigate rapid scaling and evolving strategies.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with demonstrated success in building and managing high-performing sales teams.
  • Exceptional business development skills with the ability to penetrate new markets and develop lasting partnerships.
  • Data-driven decision-making mindset with a knack for forecasting, CRM management, and performance optimization.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels.

Bonus Items

  • Background in wearables, therapeutic devices, or sleep-related medical devices.
  • Experience in startup or high-growth environments.
  • Familiarity with regulated industries and reimbursement models.
  • Experience working in regulated industries with knowledge of reimbursement models and CPT codes.
  • MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field.
