Role Description

The Vascular Access Sales Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining ICU Medical’s Vascular Access & Blood Collection business in a given territory. This role focuses on increasing territory level profitability and expanding the current customer base by selling ICU Medical products and extending relationships into new areas with new customers. The Vascular Access Sales Specialist also provides post-sales implementation support to ensure ICU Medical customers maintain an overall positive experience.

  • Align with the Regional Sales Manager to meet and exceed annual territory revenue objectives.
  • Master presentation skills and command technical knowledge of ICU products and industry guidelines (FDA, CDC, SHEA, INS, APIC, VACC, AVA, ONS, ASHP, etc.).
  • Effectively communicate with Clinicians on how industry guidelines intersect with ICU Medical product portfolios.
  • Understand the strengths and weaknesses of competing products and position ICU Medical’s offerings accordingly.
  • Act as the clinical expert and consultative problem solver for clinical and supply chain contacts.
  • Know the top 50 assigned customers, contracts, pumps, solutions, and distribution models in the territory.
  • Conduct product trials and implementation of all ICU products in the Vascular Access and Blood Collection portfolio.
  • Know the market and clinicians through local AVA, INS, VACC, APIC, ONS, and other chapters.
  • Communicate with Regional Sales Managers, Marketing, and Operations Teams on product performance.
  • Meet and exceed all agreed upon annual performance objectives.
  • Work on special projects as assigned.
  • Occasionally work during weekends/nights when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated, energetic, and able to perform job duties with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong presentation skills.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to multitask.
  • Computer literate and proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience with a proven track record of success, preferably in medical device sales.
  • Experience in needle-free infusion therapy products and services is preferred.
  • Proven track record of making quota/growth in territory and developing existing customer relationships with Supply Chain.
  • Active and current compliance with all credentialing requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination.

Work Environment

  • This job is a field-based role.
  • Work may be performed in a home office and on-site at customer locations.
  • Employee may be required to sit, stand, and walk for long periods depending on customer needs.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and comply with the Authorized Driver Policy.
  • Typically requires travel more than 50% of the time.
