Role Description

The Sr. Field Merchant is a key leader responsible for overseeing and guiding the Field Merchants in their critical role of providing on-the-ground support and strategic insights to the merchandising organization.

Ensure the validation and quality of work to drive optimal performance and results.
Gather and utilize localized and competitive intelligence to maximize market sales opportunities.
Establish a direct partnership with Regional Vice Presidents and Merchandising Vice Presidents.
Anticipate the needs of various stakeholders, requiring careful planning and prioritization of work.
Assess and develop the team of Field Merchants to effectively manage performance and address talent gaps.
Focus on data-driven decision making, team development, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
10+ Years in one or more of the following: purchasing, buying, sales, merchandising, brand management or related field
8-10 Years Experience in retail product merchandising
Demonstrated experience working closely with senior leadership
5-7 Years Experience leading remotely dispersed teams and working with cross-functional teams

Requirements

Master's Degree in Business or related field (preferred)
5-7 Years Experience working with home improvement product categories (preferred)
