Role Description

As a Sr Client Strategist for Gaming, you will be the visionary behind high-impact gaming solutions for Fandom’s most strategic clients.

Leverage expertise in brand marketing and the gaming vertical to develop comprehensive campaigns that align with client objectives.
Concept custom sponsorships and branded content, integrating off-the-shelf media solutions to craft strategies that deliver results.
Work closely with internal teams to validate feasibility, manage costs, and ensure profitability while staying ahead of industry trends.
Demonstrate creativity, collaboration, and a proactive approach to building solutions for gaming clients that resonate with audiences.
Blend innovative thinking with strategic execution to make a lasting impact.

Responsibilities

Own setting the strategy and identifying solutions for Fandom’s largest gaming clients.
Work directly with sales and clients to understand their goals and objectives.
Collaborate with internal GTM and Account Management leads to craft comprehensive campaigns.
Conduct QBRs and strategy sessions to align Fandom with client goals.
Maintain a deep understanding of the gaming vertical and effective custom sponsorships.
Act as a subject matter expert on Fandom’s media, targeting, content, and events.
Validate feasibility of proposed custom solutions with internal teams.
Scope costs of executing custom solutions and manage to ensure profitability.
Partner with GTM Strategy to standardize once-custom solutions into repeatable offerings.
Stay informed on industry shifts, audience behaviors, and emerging trends.

Qualifications

5-8+ years of experience in gaming as an ad solutions strategist, client strategist, product marketer, or sponsorship seller.
Deep vertical expertise in any combination of Gaming.
Experience in media planning, strategy, and distribution.
Proven track record of creating and managing custom gaming programs, sponsorships, integrations, and branded content campaigns.
Experience working with creators and developing custom content involving influencers/creators.
Ability to scope the cost of custom content/production development and manage to a COGS target.
Desire to be creative while keeping an eye towards standardization.
Ability to operate across budget levels, from large ideas to smaller concepts.
Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in deck creation.
Highly collaborative with a demonstrated ability to work effectively across teams.
