Role Description

As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA - and we like to think that's all part of the fun. This list gives you a flavour of the type of work you'll be doing when you start — though it will likely evolve over time. At the moment, this role is focused on:

Conducting outbound sales activities to identify, prospect, and engage with SMB clients.
Developing a deep understanding of SMB customers' needs, pain points, and objectives to tailor Canva's solutions effectively.
Proactively reaching out to potential SMB clients via phone, email, and other channels to present Canva's value proposition and product offerings.
Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with SMB clients through regular communication, follow-up, and exceptional customer service.
Collaborating closely with internal teams, including Sales & Success, Marketing, and Product, to optimize the sales process and ensure a seamless customer experience.
Meeting and exceeding sales targets and performance metrics, including monthly quotas and conversion rates.
Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management using our CRM system.
Staying informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and product developments to effectively position Canva in the SMB market segment.

Qualifications

You have a proven track record of success in outbound sales or account management roles, preferably in a B2B or SMB-focused environment.
You have strong sales acumen with excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
You have a results-oriented mindset with a passion for driving revenue growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
You have the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
You’re familiar with CRM and outreach software (e.g., Salesforce, Outreach IO, Sales Navigator and Gong).
You have prior experience in the tech industry or SaaS sales. Working with SMB clients is a plus.
