Role Description

As the Sr. Manager Marketplace, you will lead the development and execution of the strategy for Staples’ Marketplace business. Your responsibilities will include:

• Building a new channel and optimizing sales performance.
• Managing key marketplace relationships while driving operational excellence to scale the business.
• Analyzing market trends and identifying new product opportunities.
• Optimizing listings and promotions.
• Collaborating with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer experience.
• Managing and growing Staples’ Marketplace account.
• Troubleshooting seller performance issues and developing account-specific growth plans.
• Leveraging data insights to drive process improvements and conduct competitive analysis.
• Adjusting pricing strategies to ensure Staples remains ahead in a dynamic market.
• Building and mentoring a team of eMarketplace specialists and analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, eCommerce, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in e-commerce, marketplace management, retail technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of management experience in digital storefront operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree (MBA or advanced degree).
• Experience with eMarketplace advertising and PPC campaign management.
• Familiarity with automation tools and AI-driven marketplace analytics.
• Knowledge of fulfillment strategies and supply chain logistics for online retail.
• Prior experience in a high-growth eCommerce environment.
• Experience managing major online marketplaces such as Amazon 3P is a plus.
