Role Description

This role involves leading a team of Market Development Executives to drive growth and success in their territories.

  • Hire, manage, and coach a team of high-performing Market Development Executives
  • Develop and enforce activity and results quotas for consistent performance
  • Build and refine sales strategies aligned with Beam’s goals
  • Use data and reporting to diagnose sales performance and identify market trends
  • Establish best practices for organizational discipline and broker engagement
  • Manage and nurture large enterprise relationships with National Broker Partners
  • Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals

Qualifications

  • Proven success as a top-performing, quota-carrying sales professional, ideally in a B2B or commoditized industry
  • Previous experience in a sales management role with a track record of meeting or exceeding team sales goals
  • A strategic mindset with critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with using data to drive decisions
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and persuasion skills
  • A hands-on approach with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop a team
  • Adaptability, creativity, and resilience in the face of challenges
  • Willingness and ability to secure a Life & Health license within 90 days of the start date

Requirements

  • 7+ years of quota-carrying sales experience, including 3+ years in a management role
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, focusing on coaching and professional development
  • Experience in B2B or channel sales; knowledge of the employee benefits industry is highly preferred
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Strong understanding of sales performance metrics and tools (e.g., Salesforce, sales enablement platforms)
  • A collaborative and personable approach to building relationships with internal teams, brokers, and partners
  • High energy, motivation, and drive to succeed in a competitive and dynamic environment
