Role Description

At Risk Placement Services (RPS), we’re one of the largest Specialty Wholesale Insurance Brokerage firms in the U.S., thriving on teamwork, creativity, and responsiveness. As an Underwriter/Broker, you’ll play a key role in fostering revenue growth by delivering efficient underwriting services and connecting retail agents with national markets.

In this role, you’ll:

• Prospect for new business.
• Build strong relationships with agents and carriers.
• Pre-qualify submissions to focus on high-probability opportunities.
• Develop expertise in insurance solutions for specific product lines and industry segments.
• Ensure RPS remains a trusted partner for retail agents.
• Actively network and build relationships with independent retail agents and carrier underwriters.
• Analyze submissions to determine the best carrier, coverage, and premium.
• Stay updated on industry trends to adapt underwriting strategies.
• Ensure business partners understand RPS’s full range of risk solutions.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of related work experience.
• Business development and relationship management skills.
• A home state P&C license.
• Strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
• A passion for building trust and delivering exceptional service.
