Role Description

We’re looking for a Senior New Business Executive who will secure new project opportunities. You’ll research incoming potential clients, lead qualification calls, uncover their business challenges, and develop well-structured proposals that show how Aerolab can bring real value to their organization.

You’ll work directly under our Director of Partnerships, but also collaborate closely with the Co-Founders and our Design and Engineering Directors. We expect you to be proactive, comfortable with navigating multiple stakeholders, and skilled at building trust throughout the sales process.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify and Research Prospects: Investigate new industries, market trends, and potential clients that align with our capabilities. Understand decision-making structures, budgets, and potential obstacles within target organizations.
  • Qualify Leads & Conduct Discovery Calls: Run engaging, strategic conversations to pinpoint the client’s real business problems. Listen actively to uncover needs, clarify objectives, and spot opportunities where Aerolab can help.
  • Draft, Design & Present Proposals: Synthesize insights from discovery calls into thoughtful, detail-rich proposals. Elaborate documents with client brief, goals, deliverables, scope, process and timeline; as well as detailed statements of work. Collaborate with our internal design and engineering teams to develop compelling solutions tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Negotiate & Close Deals: Manage and support contract negotiations and pricing discussions, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements. Handle potential blockers—like procurement red tape or internal politics—and maintain momentum toward a signed deal.
  • Collaborate with Leadership & Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with the Director of Partnerships on new strategies to expand our client portfolio. Coordinate with Co-Founders, Design Directors, and Engineering Directors to ensure client proposals are technically sound and creatively inspiring. Maintain up-to-date records and progress in our CRM (HubSpot); organize pitch decks in Figma Slides; and capture documentation in Notion.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in direct sales, account management or project management.
  • A background in Project Management, UX/UI Design, or Software Engineering is a strong plus.
  • Deep understanding of how Startups and Venture Capital operate.
  • Appreciation for great design and engineering, comfortable discussing product roadmaps, MVPs, and iterative development approaches.

  • Excellent communicator who asks great questions, listens actively, and delivers compelling stories that resonate with prospective clients.
  • Critical & strategic thinker who backs instincts with research and data.
  • Attention to detail; what you say and build must be of excellent quality.
